While Paul McCartney was in town for a tour stop in Lincoln, Nebraska, he grabbed dinner and dessert with friend and Omaha native, Warren Buffett. They spent their evening in Dundee, Warren Buffett’s neighborhood, eating dinner at Avoli and ending with dessert at eCreamery. Sir Paul ordered two scoops of vanilla ice cream and Warren Buffett had a root beer float.

50 people gathered to catch a glimpse of the pair, one of which was Tom White. White captured the “Billion Dollar Photo” which was one of the Top 10 Worldwide most circulated images that year. eCreamery’s website had more traffic from outside of the United States than within, for the first time ever.

In 2012, the Omaha World Herald named eCreamery the “Best Overall Ice Cream Parlor” and “Omaha’s Best Vanilla.” eCreamery was later asked to serve Omaha’s Best Vanilla ice cream to the entire cast and crew when Paul performed in Omaha, the following year.
It’s been 10 years since their visit to our parlor, which will remain a fond memory in eCreamery’s history.
